CSUF Vaccine Clinics for Titans & their Families

Wednesday April 28, 2021 4:33 pm

Titan Family:

As you likely know from last week’s CSU/UC joint press release, upon full approval of one or more COVID-19 vaccines by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, all faculty, staff, and students from both systems must be fully immunized prior to returning to any campus.

Since the vaccine first became available, Cal State Fullerton has been working to widen paths for all Titans to receive it. To that end, and in light of this new systemwide requirement, we at CSUF are pleased to announce a partnership with Providence St. Jude Medical Center that makes vaccinations available to all Titans — faculty, staff, and students — as well as any of their immediate family members living in Southern California.

In addition, members of our community may also schedule an appointment at one of the other Orange County Providence vaccination sites. To do so, visit myturn.ca.gov, enter the zip code of 92705 or 92618 to view the Providence Vaccine Clinic at Edwards Lifesciences in Santa Ana or the Providence Vaccine Drive-Thru at the Great Park Irvine. The hours and vaccine at each clinic vary, so please refer to the respective websites for more information. Access to all three vaccination sites is open from tomorrow, April 29, 2021 through May 28, 2021. Additional Providence Vaccine Clinic locations will be available on the Titan’s Return website and will continue to be updated as more locations become available.

Under the CSU’s Expanded COVID-19 Relief Leave (ECRL) program, Cal State employees may visit St. Jude’s vaccination site or any other vaccination site during work hours. Employees who experience any post-vaccination side effects or symptoms may utilize ECRL to account for their time off while recovering. ECRL is not applicable for work-study student assistants at this time. For more information about the ECRL program, please visit the HRDI supplemental paid leave webpage.

CSUF is grateful to the St. Jude Medical Center and other community partners who have reached out in recent weeks to provide members of our community with greater access to the COVID-19 vaccine. We strongly encourage all students, faculty and staff as well as their families to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. Please continue to visit the Titan’s Return website for updates including information about testing and vaccines.
