Slight Acceleration to Virtual Instruction
Thursday March 12, 2020 3:24 pmDear Campus Community:
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we monitor and respond to the ever-evolving situation regarding COVID-19. As stated throughout the week, we continue to have zero presumptive or confirmed cases of COVID-19 on or related to the CSUF campus.
However, out of an abundance of caution, and as we clarified at the Academic Senate meeting today, we are taking further action to safeguard our community by slightly accelerating our transition to virtual instruction as indicated below:
- March 12 through March 16:
- Voluntary but strongly encouraged virtual instruction.
- March 17 and March 18:
- Two-day technology trial with mandatory virtual instruction — no in-person class sessions permitted unless otherwise approved by the respective Dean.
- March 19 through March 22:
- Mandatory virtual instruction – no in-person class sessions permitted unless otherwise approved by the respective Dean.
- March 23 and March 24:
- Non-instructional days – faculty and staff to make final adjustments.
- March 25 through April 26:
- Mandatory virtual instruction – no in-person class sessions permitted unless otherwise approved by the respective Dean.
Throughout this time, and absent a change in circumstances, the campus will remain open and all faculty, staff, and student employees will continue to work and be paid.
