On-Campus Case Count

CSUF provides information on COVID-19 cases reported on campus. An individual who is not living in on-campus student housing or attending classes, work or activities on campus will not be in this count. 

This information is for the benefit of the campus community with safety of faculty, staff and students the highest priority.

  • Individuals who were identified as close contacts to a confirmed COVID-19 case have been notified by the COVID-19 Response Team and instructed to self-quarantine.
  • Spaces, facilities and equipment identified as needing special attention and cleaning have been disinfected.

During the period of July 13 to July 19, the University received notice of 5 positive cases among our students, faculty/staff and contractors. 1 was a contractor off campus, 4 were contractors on campus. Thus, we had 4 reports of a positive case on campus during this reporting period.

Since the beginning of the fall 2020 semester, the University has received the following number of reports of positive Covid-19 cases among students, employees and/or vendors/contractors who were on campus:

  • 27 students
  • 43 employees (faculty and staff)
  • 12 vendor/contractor

Case Count Reported Off Campus

During the same period, the University has received the following number reports of positive Covid-19 cases among students, employees and/or vendors/contractors with a positive Covid-19 who were not on campus:

  • 244 students
  • 101 employees (faculty and staff)
  • 8 vendor/contractor
