Dean of Students Message to Students: Spring Semester Class Update
Friday January 07, 2022 12:49 pmTitans,
At the recommendation of local public health officials and out of an abundance of caution, Cal State Fullerton will begin Spring semester classes on January 22 by offering remote/virtual instruction to students until February 6. This adjustment, which is being made due to the spike in Omicron cases means face-to-face instruction is to resume on Monday, February 7. Students can access their class information via Canvas and should direct any class-related questions to faculty and/or academic advisors.
Please note that campus will remain open despite the delay of in-person instruction. However, some university services will be remote or slightly modified to further reduce the number of people on campus. Details about modifications of programs, services, policies, and procedures will be shared in the coming days via email and on respective department websites.
Delayed in-person instruction was not what the university had intended for this Spring, but the rise of the Omicron variant warrants this adjustment. University administrators will continue to monitor prevailing conditions and public health recommendations over the coming weeks. Should there be changes to any of the abovementioned, the Dean of Students Office will let you know as soon as reasonably possible through CSUF email.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we navigate this global pandemic together. In the meantime, stay safe, healthy, and enjoy the break.
