Face Coverings on Campus

Surgical, Paper, or Cloth Masks/Face Coverings 

The University requires that face coverings be worn in limited circumstances based on guidance from the California Department of Public Health and/or Cal/OSHA, which include:

• When in self-isolation or self-quarantine
• In the event of multiple COVID-19 infections open_in_new or a major outbreak
• When utilizing employer-provided transportation
• When working in Student Wellness and/or the University Police Department
• When required to do so by orders from CDPH

Those who wish to wear face coverings regardless of vaccination status outside of the limited circumstances above are free to do so without fear of retaliation.
