On-Campus Case Count

CSUF provides information on COVID-19 cases reported on campus. An individual who is not living in on-campus student housing or attending classes, work or activities on campus will not be in this count. 

This information is for the benefit of the campus community with safety of faculty, staff and students the highest priority.

  • Individuals who were identified as close contacts to a confirmed COVID-19 case have been notified by the COVID-19 Response Team and instructed to self-quarantine.
  • Spaces, facilities and equipment identified as needing special attention and cleaning have been disinfected.

11/11 to 11/17, 2020, the University received 2 reports of individuals on campus with a positive Covid-19 case (1 student, 1 employee). The University has notified those who may have come into close contact with this individual and has cleaned and disinfected the impacted areas on campus.

Since the beginning of the fall 2020 semester, the University has received the following number of reports of positive Covid-19 cases among students, employees and/or vendors/contractors who were on campus:

  • 7 students
  • 13 employees (faculty and staff)
  • 2 vendor/contractor

During the same period, the University has received the following number reports of positive Covid-19 cases among students, employees and/or vendors/contractors with a positive Covid-19 who were not on campus:

  • 48 students
  • 18 employees (faculty and staff)
  • 0 vendor/contractor
