Email to Students: Change in CAPS Student Appointments
Thursday March 12, 2020 11:58 amDear Students:
To ensure minimal exposure to the COVID 19 for our student body, CAPS is changing its policies for the immediate future.
Effective Monday 3/16/2020:
In place of face to face appointments, CAPS will consult with students by phone and by video conferencing using HIPPAA-secure Zoom for scheduled appointments. If you have an existing appointment, you will receive an invitation to log onto Zoom at the time of your appointment. CAPS is open Monday through Friday 8-5. Currently, walk-in urgent/crisis appointments are still available. We appreciate your flexibility during this rapidly evolving situation. For after-hours emergencies, please contact the following resources:
- CAPS After Hours Emergency Number: 657-278-3040
- National Suicide Prevention Line: 1-800-273-8255
- Trevor Lifeline (LGBTQ) 1-866-488-7386
- National Sexual Assault Hotline: 1-800-656-4673
- Crisis Text Line: Text “Home” to 741-741
All my best wishes,
Hallie
